The Renting Support Service
The Renting Support Service has been set up to help people who are homeless to access Private Rented accommodation. Referrals are generally, therefore, via Plymouth's Housing Advice service.
For these clients, we carry out a housing needs assessment, looking at people options and aiming to support them to gain their own tenancy. One of the ways we may do this by providing a Deposit Guarantee where people cannot afford a deposit to secure a property.
A Deposit Guarantee (DG) is a written agreement between Path and a landlord/lady. It guarantees that, if at the end of a tenancy there are any rent arrears or damage, Path will reimburse the landlord/lady up to the agreed value of the guarantee.
If you are a landlord/lady or letting agent considering and would consider taking a Deposit Guarantee click here.
